 Have a great Friday!

It's Good - Take a Look

The latest issue of RUE is really good.  You should go read it.

Many thanks to the lovely Nero for the head's up.

AND, many thanks for all your nice comments yesterday.  I ♡ my blogging friends.

Purging

A good friend of mine is moving house the same day we are.  She and I couldn't be more different and yet we couldn't be more the same.

She is 13 years my junior, has never been married, and has no kids.  And yet we laughed yesterday when I was trying to explain my feelings around this whole moving situation and she said, "Anita we are on the same exact trajectory...we couldn't be any closer - you do not have to explain yourself to me!"

It's nice to have someone trudging the same road as you.  We are each other's cheerleader and each other's shoulder depending on who is more bat-shit crazy at the moment.

She smokes cigarettes and muses, "how did I end up here?"  and I suck on a diet coke and answer, "I don't know...."

Lest you think these moves for us are "good" ones, they're really not.  Not in the sense of "yippee!  we're moving!" because usually that means moving up; and in this case we're both moving down....down-sizing is the polite term I guess.

We've both been getting rid of shit.  Craigslist is a godsend though loading people's cars with my far-too-long-held possessions is bittersweet.  Glad to get cash in my hand, yet scared of letting go.

I remarked yesterday that it's quite amazing how little one actually needs.  One man's trash...; out with the old...;

And life goes on.

If I haven't commented on your blog lately, forgive me.  This is taking a lot of my time and energy!

These photos which really have nothing to do with anything, are from HERE and HERE.  I just like all of them.

Why Yes, I'll Take the Little Purple Nude

Granted, a tad over-styled, but I love everything in this photo.  Especially the purple nude.

How could you NOT love having a little purple in your life??
(Stop snickering, Jen.)

I could sit and read for hours on end in this spot.  Do not disturb.

All very nice, but without the rug -- it would just be ho-hum.

At first it was all about the purple couch, but is that a purple-painted baseboard next to the fireplace??  Holla.

I couldn't love this little set up any more.  perfection.

Sometimes swanky is good.

All photos from this blog -- You probably won't be able to read a word of it, but not to worry; it's really all about the yummy photos anyway.

The Magic will never die

So, this saturday I finally went to see Harry
Potter & The Deathly Hallows Part 2 &
OMG it was just amazing! I'm very sad that
now is ending a great story but like J.K.
Rowling said "Hogwarts will always
welcome you home" so it'll be always
with me & when I grow up, I'll give to my
children one book per year so they can grow up
like I did with the fantastic world of Harry Potter
also I want to buy the Harry Potter's wand
haha :$ the people who doesn't like HP is
because they're just muggles haha xD &
well here is one gift I made of my favorite
part of the movie(:

~seeing me~

'Its funny how we view ourselves and how others do..when I see you I see someone who is very bright and intelligent but also really in tune earthy and spiritual'

i had a short 'conversation' online via messages on faceache one evening last week with a fae friend and
the gist of the messages were regarding self image and insecurity and the comment above is part of what she wrote to me

*blush*

now that is not how i see myself~how do i see myself? i have no idea~and so it surprised me to find that this was how i come across to people

i am very comfortable in my own skin

years back i decided that its pointless to worry that my hair is not straight and shiny, my skin not perfect and my shape far from the perfection seen in magazines.
i stopped buying the magazines when i started to become increasingly frustrated with the garbage they were spouting about how i/we should act, look, what we should buy and what we should wear/not wear.

apparently anyone over 25 should not wear leggings~ho really?
well come tell me that when i am wearing my birkis and black leggings under a floral dress...

pah! we dont need magazines like that

my poor fae friend bless her is worried about her first camping experience with swampy, myself and the friends that we camped with back in may~the worry of being seen first thing in the morning without her public face on.
i think that the sight of me in my pyjams with my hair doing its usual dragged through a hedge backwards look and possibly doing the sun salutation in a field will reassure her that there is nothing to worry about

~*~*~*~

i have not been around much, well actually i havent been about at all for about a week.

my yoga class last week was wonderful~it was a small group, there were only seven of us including rue the teacher and it was the gentle class.

i have to admit it did knock me out a few hours after and i ended up in bed around four in the afternoon and the following day i was not too good either.

but mentally i was on such a high and to me thats as important as anything.

so i will be off tomorrow morning in my purple yoga pants and my mat under my arm for my next class and i am really looking forwards to it.

I could see any of these framed and hanging on my wall.
