Matthew: Mom, is your painting a passion or a pastime?
Me: Well, I haven't really thought about it in that way, but I think it's somewhere in between. I'm not very good, ya know.
Matthew: Do you enjoy it?
Me: Yes, I love it!
Matthew: Then you don't have to be good, you can just enjoy doing it.
Wise kid... he's so right. Good or not, I totally love doing it. It is such an escape for me -- for some reason I am in the moment; I can completely stay in the now when I'm painting.
And I've always loved colors.
I stack my paintings on the mantle. I don't know what else to do with them.
For some reason I like to paint circles. Lots and lots of circles. I'm not sure what that means.
