~come to Bloomsbury with me~

well now...

here i am at last...

here is my belated post from my trip to London and Wimbledon~i do apologise for my tardy behaviour!

so, getting off the tube at Russel Square in Bloomsbury, a beautiful grade II listed building...

which has a memorial to those who died in the 2005 London Bombing...

we were faced with the Brunswick...

from the ouside they looked quite grim, apart from some of the balconies that had window boxes and potted tree's, however seeing a sign for Waitrose (a supermarket for those outside of the uk!) we decided to investigate and was very pleasently surprised...

within there was a shopping centre with all kinds of nice shops and cafe's...overlooked by balconies with tree's and parasols...

a few moments further on through Bloomsbury we came to Cartwright Gardens where we were to stay...the semi-circualr buildings overlooked a half moon park where people would play tennis or jog after work...

out the back we had a little garden...

we settled in and then went back out to explore this area of Bloomsbury and i just loved it, full of quirky shops, cafes and restaurants with cyclists making the most of the cycle lanes and hire bikes...

i so wish this cafe was in my village~i would be there everyday with my book and a mug of something nice...

this was our little apartment, named by us 'the dungeon'...

tomorrow i shall take you to Wimbledon...
